about.

This yuppie Barbie comes with your choice of BMW convertible or Hummer H2. Included is her own Starbucks cup, credit card, and country club membership. Also available for this set are Shallow Ken and Private School Skipper. You won't be able to afford any of them.

She can spit over 5 feet and kick mullet-haired Ken's butt when she is drunk. Purchase her pickup truck separately and get a confederate flag bumper sticker absolutely free.

Clear Lake Barbie:

This collagen injected, rhino-plastic Barbie wears a leopard print spandex outfit and drinks cosmopolitans while entertaining friends on her boat. Percocet prescription available.

Pasadena Barbie:

This tobacco chewing, brassy-haired Barbie has a pair of her own high-heeled sandals with one broken heel from the time she chased Beer-Gut Ken out of Baytown Barbie's (discontinued) house. Her ensemble includes low-rise
acid-washed jeans, fake fingernails, and a see-through halter-top. Also available with a mobile home.

West University Barbie:

This doll is made of actual tofu. She has long straight faded blue hair, archless feet, hairy armpits, no makeup, and Birkenstocks with white socks. She prefers that you call her "Willow." She does not want or need a Ken doll, but if you purchase two West U Barbies, and the optional Subaru wagon, you get a rainbow flag sticker for free.

what is that about???

Sharpstown Barbie:

This Barbie now comes with a stroller and infant doll. Optional accessories include a GED and bus pass. Gangsta Ken and his '79 Caddy were available, but are now very difficult to find since the addition of the infant.

Navigation Barbie:

This Spanish-speaking-only Barbie comes with a 1984 Toyota with expired temporary plates and three baby Skippers in the back seat, but no car seats. The optional Ken doll comes with a cowboy hat, shovel and work gloves. Ken
comes with his own 1979 Ford pickup with a Telemundo bumper sticker, tinted windows, and Our Lady of Guadalupe rear window stickers. Truck is painted primer gray, but wheels and rims are not available. Comes with cement blocks. Green cards are not available for Navigation Barbie or Ken.

Montrose Barbie/Ken:

This versatile doll can be easily converted from Barbie to Ken by simply adding or subtracting the multiple "snap-on" parts.

someone put bagels on my antenna last night. i'm utterly confused and perplexed. whodunit? why? when? do i know this person? well that's the most exciting thing that's happened in my summer. but here's a list so far since i don't update so much.

-- listening to ocean avenue on repeat with the girl i babysit because she won't listen to anything else
-- wanting to lay out soooo badly but either having to babysit or having clouds
-- hanging out with bennett, abby, annie, and kelley g everyday because UM WE ARE AWESOME
-- carrying around a water bottle with me everywhere

that's about all i can remember. feel free to add things if you feel like i left something out haha

[ mood | bored ]

senior mens was so much fun!! it was by far the best dance ever in high school.
i'm sure the details would be boring for all of yall so i'll skip them

Directions (um english): On your current playlist, hit shuffle and pick the first twenty songs on the list (no matter how cheesy or embarrassing), and write down your favorite line of the song. Try to avoid putting the song title in the line. Then, have your friends comment and see if they know the songs.

1. I try remembering the soft silence of summer sweating in the evening
2. I'll be the phonograph that plays your favorite albums back as your lying there drifting off to sleep.
3. What you wish for won't come true Live with that, with that
4. senora, i have a question. in you is there a lesson? a story wrapped so tight that you need chairs <-- no one will get that one
5. Honey now if I'm honest, I still don't know what love is. Another mirage folds into the haze of time recalled
6. De verte bailar es casi un ritual Y sabes que te deseo No se controlar la locura que hay en mi Es irracional lo que me haces sentir <-- bonus
7. I've been funny, I've been cool with the lines. Ain't that the way love supposed to be
8. I wish the world was flat like the old days, so I could travel just by folding the map. no more airplanes or speed-trains or freeways there'd be no distance that could hold us back
9. I know I’ll never know nobody Better than I know myself, But I can't even figure out Just what the fuck I’m all about
10. and i know much more than i did back then, but the more i learn the more i can't understand
11. It seems to me that maybe It pretty much always means no, So don't tell me you might just let it go
12. I can’t drive without loud music, I can’t dance without a beat, I can’t ask why without a forehead wrinkle, I cannot wake up without taking a leak
13. Oh Until the dawn it brings Another day to sing about the magic that was you and me
14. Guys sing: It feels like something's heatin' up, can I leave wit you? And ladies: I don't know but I'm thinkin' 'bout, really leavin' wit you.
15. Envuélveme con tus besos Refúgiame en tu guarida
16. now just when love seemed out of reach, i curse myself for the lack of speech. and then you smile that smile make me feel brand new
17. And you can see the daisies in her footsteps. Dandelions, butterflies. I wanna be ------
18. The colors of your garden, They're yellow, blue, and green. And the sound of your sweet voice, It's better than all my dreams
19. They say it's nice this time of year On Jupiter, Except for the meteors
20. I would like to hold my little hand. How we will run, we will. How we will crawl

wow since some of those are the most random songs EVER, i'll be muy impressed if yall can get them
good luck!!

[ mood | drained ]

i figured that it's been long enough

today i went to see the houston ballet's performance of cinderella at miller outdoor (for the second time). i love the ballet.
the woman who plays cinderella and the guy who plays the prince got engaged tonight. how romantic and perfect is that? that's what happens for everyone right? they get to tell the story of literally meeting prince charming, right?

stephanie burned me the new newfound glory. it made me realize how much i'm totally not into pop punk anymore. well, i guess occasionally it's alright. but lately, when it comes on my winamp, i've been skipping it. maybe it's just a phase. but i'm going into more like, acoustic-y music as of now. and i like it. and i'm going back to country. ahh the ring composition of high school.
(but thank you steph)

dancin in the streets [09 May 2004|09:46pm]
[ mood | content ]

last night was adrienne, christina, kata, and carey's graduation party. it was a total blast. I danced with niuver approx 5 times... maybe? I'm not really sure. he's the love of my life. he is so adorable (minus being maybe gay). also, he made a latin mix for adrienne for the party, and he put a special song on it just for me. any guesses was it was? yep! TOXIC!! how thoughtful... (it's the song we danced to at prom). I'M SO EXCITED FOR SENIOR MENS!

gap is doing really well, on a related note.

IT WAS AMAZING in general. after prom was amazing! i had so much fun staying the whole time and eating breakfast and stuff. thanks to everyone (bennett, taylor, attilie, annie, kelley, abby, roni, mike etc) whose money went towards me getting the ipod. it's definitely not all mine and ya'll are welcome to listen to it and stuff. or just play with the new technology (mike). i had so much fun with my girls and boys all night.

chilipepa = nicole, my "life partner" from amigos [29 Apr 2004|12:10am]
[ mood | shocked ]

ChiliPepa3 (11:51:48 PM): first of all, leonora went back to her host community for 20 days like two months ago and stayed with her host family
ChiliPepa3 (11:52:24 PM): sometime after that, her host dad lost his thumb in a coffee grinding accident, and apparently if you don't have a thumb in honduras you're worthless. so he did the whole el norte thingand hired a coyote and came to los angeles. from there the coyote sent him on a plane to baltimore, where someone was supposed to meet him and give him a job, etc. so the guy never came and the ins found the honduran and sent him to a penitentary in pennsylvania, which is basically
ChiliPepa3 (11:53:02 PM): a prison for illegal immigrants. all he has with him is a piece of paper with random contact numbers on it, and the only one he can get through to is leonora. so leonora and her mom decide to bail him out for $2500! however, he is still not allowed out of the penitentary because they know he will just work illegally, so leonora has started a huge letter writing campaign and fundraising project to get him out
longhornqt1 (11:55:05 PM): wow i'm so glad that we left that shithole and never looked back
ChiliPepa3 (11:55:17 PM): hahahaha omg!
ChiliPepa3 (11:55:34 PM): i mean, 20 days is so fucking long!
longhornqt1 (11:56:06 PM): 20?!?!?! 2 MONTHS WAS LONG
ChiliPepa3 (11:56:30 PM): i know!!! and why would you do it for 20 days more??
longhornqt1 (11:56:45 PM): they probably put something in that cheese
ChiliPepa3 (11:56:52 PM): hahahahaha
ChiliPepa3 (11:56:58 PM): that damn cheese
longhornqt1 (11:57:06 PM): like, cocaine... addictive stuff

yes i am still watching it at 2:00 in the morning

reasons why today was awesome [25 Apr 2004|12:56am]
[ mood | crazy ]

1. it was annie's birthday!!!
2. Kill Bill Vol. 2.... nuff said
3. we hung out with margo and rick
4 i just heard "ice ice baby" on the radio
5. IRON CHEF AMERICA is on omg omg

okay so I only have a week left to decide. okay maybe i'm blowing this out of proportion, but I swear this will be my last time to journal about this and complain...

Texas
Pros:
1. sports teams and great school spirit. very important to me because I loooove going to games of any kind and cheering my team on. plus I am a longhorn forever and ever (see Pro #2)
2. I have been a longorn forever and ever. I bleed burnt orange. my favorite color is orange. my screen name involves "longhorns." I am die hard
3. I know I would have fun
4. AUSTIN. hands down, best city ever

Cons:
1. I don't want to live lamar high school volume 2
2. I don't know where I'd stay, because I definitely wouldn't want to stay in hardin house with the aforementioned females of Lamar
3. I'm not the biggest partier of all time.
4. It would be much less academically challenging
5. I might not get to travel abroad where I want

Richmond
Pros:
1. Great academics. I would learn so much and get to be in small classes and everything.
2. Everyone lives on campus and does a lot on campus, which is an aspect I really like about it
3. It's GORGEOUS
4. I'd be trying something new, taking a risk. I'd be doing something different from everyone else.

Cons:
1. I have never visted, which makes me really really scared to just show up and go there for the next four years. are the people preppy? I don't know. are they snobby? I don't know. I know nothing.
2. No school spirit really
3. Sororities aren't a big deal
4. It would be hard to come back and get a job in Texas
5. Do I really like private school kids? ....not really....

this decision is about gonna be the end of me

random thoughts [15 Apr 2004|10:25pm]
[ mood | mellow ]

today was an awesome end to the regular season for lacrosse. even though we lost, i started and played a lot and what not, and i personally thought i did pretty well. and it was really fun. (but we should have won)
also
my brother is in town tonight
tomorrow is south 59 and everyone should head out to (i don't remember where... maybe engine room?) tomorrow night early on to represent (support) some awesome guys. oh, and noelle's boyfriend's band is also playing. she's cool, so obviously he is too.
i'm really scared to go to yearbook tomorrow since merch wrote me up yesterday. whatever
i have been listening to the radio a lot in my car, lately. i think it's because i'm sort of on this hip hop kick right now. i'm pumped for senior mens (notice i skipped over prom)

i didn't really have anything interesting to say, but i hadn't updated in a while and thought maybe my 3 readers would get anxious.

good night!!

OH MY GOSH
i forgot to write about college
i think i'm going to richmond. but i want to go up to austin for the weekend first to make sure. AH THIS IS SO STRESSFUL
